Brooklyn, NY– Les Trois Petits Cochons has been named a Silver Finalist for Outstanding New Product in the 2012 sofi™ Awards from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. A sofi Award is the top honor in the $75 billion specialty food industry. “sofi” stands for Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation.
Les Trois Petits Cochons’ Merguez Sausage was one of 110 Silver Finalists selected by a national panel of specialty food experts. The judges evaluated 2,520 entries across 32 Awards categories from Outstanding Appetizer, Antipasto, Salsa and Dip to Outstanding New Product. Gold Winners will be announced by noted chef José Andrés at a red-carpet ceremony June 18, 2012, at the Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, D.C.
