AFE just returned from a very successful trip to Colorado visiting several industry supporters and friends. A special thanks to DWF Wholesale Florists, Amato Wholesale Florist, Welby Gardens, Lafayette Florist Gift Shop & Garden Center, and Design Master Color Tool, Inc. for allowing AFE to stop by. We are so grateful for all of the support we have from the Colorado floriculture industry.
AFE also spent a half day at Tagawa Greenhouses where three Vic & Margaret Ball Interns are currently performing their internship. In addition to hearing presentations from the current interns, several past Vic & Margaret Ball interns (who are now employed with Tagawa) were also there to share how the Ball internship program had positively impacted them. AFE would like to thank our present and past Vic & Margaret Ball Interns for sharing their internship stories with us! The meeting was also attended by Kate Soper, daughter of the late Vic & Margaret Ball, along with horticulture professors and intern advisors Paul Thomas, Ph.D. – University of Georgia, and Terry Ferriss, Ph.D. – University of Wisconsin River-Falls. AFE presented Tagawa Greenhouses with a recognition plaque for their ongoing support of the AFE Internship Program and the floriculture industry.
