Petaluma, CA – Clover Stornetta Farms is sponsoring Cooking for Solutions at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Held May 18-20, 2012, the 11th annual Cooking for Solutions celebration will feature over 70 gourmet chefs, over 60 world class wineries as well as various companies on the forefront of sustainability initiatives.
Marcus Benedetti, Clover’s President and CEO, will be the featured speaker at a “Stories of Sustainability” interview hosted by food and agriculture blogger and columnist Tom Philpott. Benedetti will speak to key topics and issues in agricultural sustainability, including Clover’s pioneering efforts in bringing milk back from a commodity to an artisanal product by working with small, family owned farms on California’s North Coast.
Clover will host a booth during the Friday night Cooking for Solutions Gala, where famed Chef Jeff Jake of Silverado Resort in Napa, California will create a dish to share with attendees using Clover products. Additionally, over the weekend Clover will set up shop in the Monterey Bay Aquarium, creating a room of dairy and farm themed activities with educational work stations for children.
“Here at Clover we always look forward to May because it means we get to attend this amazing event,” said Marcus Benedetti, President and CEO of Clover Stornetta Farms. “Cooking for Solutions brings together the top chefs in the country to rally around the common goal of raising awareness toward more sustainable food systems, and it is all done through great food and excellent wine…what could be better than that?”
