DORAL, Fla. – Workers at South Florida flower businesses are sorting through millions of blooms as they prepare bouquets to honor moms this Sunday.
Sending Mother a bouquet of flowers may sound old-fashioned, but for many, it is still the perfect present.
"They get so excited. Sometimes they cry, especially if they haven't seen their son or daughter in a long time," said American Bouquet owner Dianna Jimenez.
About 89 percent of all fresh-cut flowers sold in the U.S. come through South Florida.
