New York Apple Association Names New Director Of Marketing

FISHERS, NY – The New York Apple Association (NYAA) today announced that Molly Golden has been named Director of Marketing. Molly will be responsible for the design and execution of all trade merchandising and promotional activities for the market, working closely with retail partners, growers and industry shippers.

Jim Allen, president of NYAA, commented “We are very excited to have Molly join our marketing team. She certainly brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to New York Apple Association. I am excited to be able to introduce her to the trade at the upcoming New England Produce and Floral Expo in Boston on April 24th.”

Molly is a native of Plattsburgh, NY and grew up in the heart of the North Country apple region. She comes to NYAA from a seven-year beverage industry career with PepsiCo, where she was a sales leader in both the retail and foodservice side of the business. As a Key Account Manager, Molly worked closely with retailers on promotional activity, as well as large prestige accounts with product innovation to help grow their business.

Molly understands the importance of developing relationships and providing results for both the retail buyer and the consumer, and is excited to be able to work with the growers to make sure their needs and expectations are met as well. Molly’s experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry will be a key benefit to NYAA and apple growers across the state.

Based in Fishers, N.Y., the NYAA is the nonprofit agricultural trade association representing the commercial apple growers in New York. It supports profitable growing and marketing of New York apples through increasing demand for apples and apple products; representing the industry at state and federal levels and serving as the primary information source on New York apple related matters.
