Del Monte Fresh Produce, Miami HEAT & Publix Extravaganza Event

200 lucky Publix customers receive free tickets to watch the Miami Heat play the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Arena, courtesy of Del Monte Fresh Produce and the Miami Heat

On Saturday, March 24th, Del Monte Fresh Produce and the Miami HEAT hosted an afternoon of fun, giving away hundreds of t-shirts and other prizes outside the Publix Super Market in Kendall, FL. Hundreds of Publix customers lined up for the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the HEAT take on the Mavericks on March 29th at AmericanAirlines Arena.

“This event was a great way to share our excitement of being the official fresh fruit of the Miami HEAT with Del Monte consumers in South Florida,” said Dennis Christou, Del Monte Fresh Produce’s Vice President of North America Marketing. “Del Monte Fresh plans to host more fun events like this that encourage people to eat healthier and live healthier lifestyles.”

The Miami HEAT Dancers, Burnie, the HEAT mascot, and the HEAT Xtreme Team played music and entertained the crowd while they took pictures with the HEAT Dancers. The first 100 customers who bought a Del Monte Gold® Extra Sweet pineapple or Del Monte® avocados were awarded a pair of tickets.
