Redwood City, CA – YottaMark, Inc., provider of the HarvestMark fresh food traceability and supply chain insights platform, announced today that Michael Bromme has joined the company as SVP, Sales. Bromme will lead sales of the company's industry-leading HarvestMark platform to grocery retailers, foodservice operators, and food producers. Bromme will report directly to J. Scott Carr, president and CEO.
Today, with the safety and efficiency of the global food supply chain top of mind, over 300 leading food and retail companies have adopted the HarvestMark platform. Customers include the top US produce and poultry brands, the largest traditional grocery chain in the US, and hundreds of growers and shippers of fresh produce throughout North and South America. These companies rely on HarvestMark to build shopper loyalty, gain insight into their supply chains, and comply with food safety and traceability requirements.
Bromme joins the HarvestMark team from DemandTec, where he was most recently SVP, Worldwide Sales. During his tenure, he helped some of the world’s foremost food producers and retailers improve profitability through shopper insights, price optimization, product assortment, and promotional strategies. DemandTec, a business he helped grow tenfold, was acquired by IBM.
“Our customers are increasingly leveraging the HarvestMark traceability platform to gain unprecedented insights that improve their business performance,” said J. Scott Carr, president and CEO, YottaMark. “They want actionable insights that speed decision-making and highlight opportunities for efficiency and quality. Michael has consistently and successfully helped his customers build sales and profits with business intelligence solutions. I’m very pleased to have him join our executive team.”
Bromme’s experience in retail and supply chain solutions began early in his career at Tandem Computers (now HP), where he helped leading retailers build data warehouse solutions. After Tandem, he was one of the first sales people at MicroStrategy selling business intelligence tools. He later held sales leadership positions at Spotlight Solutions, a provider of price optimization solutions for retail, and Retek (now Oracle), a provider of retail software solutions.
"Each of my prior companies has brought breakthrough innovations to food and retail customers,” said Bromme. “I’m excited by the ability of the HarvestMark platform to help customers radically improve their fresh food supply chain, including connecting farms and families, and reducing waste. My family, like everyone at HarvestMark, is passionate about fresh, healthy food. I look forward to being a part of this great team.”
