Gourmet Trading Co's Superblue & Blueberry Packs Target Multiple Consumers At Similar Price Points

LOS ANGELES – California blueberry grower Gourmet Trading Company announced that this season it will introduce new pack sizes for its SuperBluesTM.  SuperBluesTM are a differentiated product with a unique upc that has twice the size and crunch of a regular blueberry.

With the new 5oz, 10oz, and 16oz pack sizes, Gourmet Trading Company aims to help retailers increase profit with SuperBluesTM packs that are at similar price points to regular blueberry packs during certain times of the season.  This will allow retailers to target two different types of consumers at a similar price.

Also available is a complete line of Point Of Sale materials that will help educate the consumer on why SuperBluesTM are super and how they can be used in not only sweet but savory recipes.

Gourmet Trading Company Marketing Director, Julia Inestroza stated “SuperBluesTM are so large we always had a problem fitting the traditional weights into the clamshells.  At 5oz, 10oz, and 16oz weights, the fruit fits perfectly and the added benefit is that the price points are much more reasonable for the consumers.  We’re excited to hopefully expand the reach of SuperBluesTM into more traditional retail environments where there are still customers who are looking for the next interesting thing.”

Brian Miller, Sales Manager for Gourmet Trading Company added, “SuperBluesTM have always been a great addition to our blueberry program, but now with added volume, a well fitting pack and a great price we’re looking forward to getting these to more customers than we could previously.

SuperBluesTM will be available in 12x5oz, 12x10z, and 8x16oz packs. Regular blueberries will be available in 12×4.4oz, 12x6oz, 8x18oz, 12x24oz, and 12x32oz.
