With subsidiary FACT Products recently having shipped their first orders to new customers for private label nutraceutical products in Mexico, it’s a natural progression for FACT to pursue the consumer markets through distributor, broker and private label bakery operations. According to a CNN Senior Latin American Affairs Editor in an article originally published on January 4, 2011, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development published statistics indicating 69.5% of the Mexican population aged 15 and older is overweight or obese, believed to be the highest rate in the world. Further, according to Mexico's Institute for Public Health, diabetes, of which obesity is a contributing factor, has become the No. 1 cause of death in Mexico.
FACT Corporation is organizing a series of meetings in April to present its product line, as well as certain private label baked goods opportunities to various brokers, distributors and manufacturers in Mexico City.
