Fingerlimes: Hot New Citrus At Cool Retail Pricing

One of the hottest new fruits on the market this season is actually very cool and now very affordable. Australian Fingerlimes have been all the rage in the media; getting great coverage in national magazines and television. The internet is filled with recipes, history and availability, but except for a few farmers markets, on-
line growers and very high-end specialty markets they have been somewhat elusive.

Not any more! In a partnership with Goodness Gardens, Culinary Specialty Produce is now offering Organic Australian Fingerlimes at very affordable prices. “We heard rumors that the Fingerlimes were selling for over $20.00 per half pint”, commented Richard Leibowitz, President of Culinary Specialty Produce, “and we thought that price point was too high and would only attract a very limited market. We wanted a pack that the everyday gourmet could use and I think we have now achieved that.”

Culinary and Goodness have developed a pack that is a piece count and can retail for under $5.00 per unit. Brian Murphy, President of Goodness Gardens, said, “I think customers will enjoy all the possibilities this fruit has to offer. An 8 to 12 count pack is a great way to introduce this compelling product. It is a natural addition to our distribution and customer base. We can even put it on our specialty herb rack.”

Culinary and Goodness are developing signage for the store and information brochures that customers can take with them. “Fingerlimes can be used in sauces, soups, baked goods and libations with almost endless possibilities”, claimed Leibowitz, “We will provide ongoing uses and recipes along with sample product to integrate with deli, soups, sauces, bakery and prepared foods.”

Organic Australian Fingerlimes are packed in 6 count cases under the Goodness Gardens™ or Culinary Harvest ™ labels. Private labeling is also available.

Culinary Specialty Produce will be sourcing Organic Fingerlimes through Deer Creek Heights Ranch, an organic exotic citrus grower in Porterville, California. Deer Creek is currently the largest domestic grower of Organic Fingerlimes, and grows over 50 varieties of unique organic citrus.
