Lidia Matticchio Bastianich will visit Stew Leonard's Yonkers store to meet fans and sign copies of her newest cookbook, LIDIA'S ITALY IN AMERICA (Knopf; $35.00; ISBN 978-0-307-59567-6) on Saturday, November 19. A companion book to her upcoming public television series of the same name, Lidia takes us on a road trip into the heart of Italian American cooking today, as only Lidia can.
She started with a question: How did Italian immigrants put beloved recipes from their homeland on the table for their families in the new world that was America? This one question began Lidia's coast-to-coast journey towards uncovering how and why Italian American food has become what it is today.
