Leading Retail Strategist, Heidi Chapnick, Joins FreshXperts As E-Commerce Expert

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – FreshXperts announced that leading retail strategist Heidi Chapnick has joined the produce consortium as e-commerce expert. FreshXperts, which provides comprehensive consulting services for the produce industry, will rely on Chapnick to advise clients about Internet marketing optimization, as well as setting up and managing their online shopping experiences.

Chapnick is the owner and chief executive officer of Channalysis, a consultancy specializing in cross-channel commerce, a term referring to the manner in which companies reach and convert customers by integrating messages in multiple information channels. She provides consulting and speaking services internationally.

She has consulted for major retailers, including multiple Fortune 100 companies, for the past 25 years. Chapnick was most recently employed as the U.S. director for customer experience and front store at CVS where she re-launched the company’s Web site in 2008. The enhancements and changes to the Web site proved to better engage customers, resulting in explosive growth.

Additionally, Chapnick managed online grocery shopping as U.S. director for e-commerce and customer service for The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P), and was the director of new services and marketing for Stop and Shop, where she was part of the team to develop the grocery delivery service, Peapod, the first profitable online shopping experience with same day delivery. Peapod is now a $386 million business. She has also been employed with Waldbaum's, The Food Emporium, and NutriSystem.
