Westlake Village, CA — The DOLE Fruit Flash Mob contest, where schools can create fruit-themed photos and videos to compete for a grand prize of $1,000 and 10 cases of DOLE Fruit Bowls, ends November 30, 2011. The DOLE Fruit Flash Mob contest works on the premise that a group of people meet suddenly, and collectively develop and perform a short story/play/dance. In the process, they film or photograph themselves.
Changes in the USDA guidelines require schools to serve fruit daily both at breakfast and lunch. The Dole Fruit Flash Mob contest adds extra excitement and added incentive for schools to meet this new standard.
Contest Details:
• Dole encourages School Foodservice staff and their students/customers to participate. The school cafeteria and/or dining areas must be included in the video or photo location(s)
• The video or photo must incorporate fruit and fruit themes
• Video/photo content should promote healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle
