The Dutch Lily Days are going to be held again next year. Both the organizers and the visiting public were satisfied with the way the event unfolded, a recent evaluation shows, therefore a follow-up has been planned.
The collective open house days of the Dutch lily breeders and exporters appear to have addressed a need, as they were more of a success than the organizers had initially imagined. During the five days of the event, hundreds of horticulture professionals took the opportunity to visit one or more of the involved companies.
“In the past, everyone had their own open door days. But a business associate abroad will not come all the way to the Netherlands to visit one company. Now, they have 15 companies to go to. We’ve had visitors from China, Italy, South Africa, Vietnam and Iran”, one of the participants recounts the Lily Days’ success.
