Clifford Produce Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month With Retail Matching Program

RUTHVEN, Ontario — Clifford Produce today announced that it has launched a retailer-focused matching campaign to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. For every specially-marked case of Clifford Produce sold, the company will match retailer donations of up to 50 cents per case up to $50,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Clifford is currently working with retailers to help them set up the promotion in stores.

“We are working hard to get the word out about this promotion early to enable as many retailers as possible to participate and to raise as much money as we can for breast cancer awareness,” said Chris Jacobs, president, Clifford Produce.

During the month of October, Clifford’s packaging is specially marked with a pink ribbon to make consumers aware that their purchases have the potential to benefit breast cancer research, treatment and prevention. The campaign slogan, “Clifford Produce. Every package makes a difference,” is also included on the packaging, as well as in materials that Clifford is using to reach out to retailers.

“Approximately one in eight women will be diagnosed with cancer during her lifetime,” said Jacobs. “It’s time to change that. We hope that retailers with join us in the fight against breast cancer through this campaign.”

“The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a wonderful organization that seeks to, not only find a cure for breast cancer, but also to educate women about lifestyle choices to help prevent the onset of breast cancer,” Jacobs continued. “We look forward to working with our retail partners to make a difference in the lives of women through this fundraiser, and hopefully, to help save some lives.”

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is one of America’s most recognized and highly respected breast cancer charities. Information about the National Breast Cancer Foundation is available at www.nationalbreastcancer.org.
