Pretzel Crisps Unveils New Bold & Spicy Flavors

PRINCETON, NJ – Fueled by the wildly successful Buffalo Wing variety, Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps® welcomes two new flavors to its Bold and Spicy category: Jalapeno Jack and Chipotle Cheddar. A leading seller and a favorite among consumers, Buffalo Wing was the inspiration behind the newest Bold and Spicy additions.

The new Jalapeno Jack packs a punch, combining naturally spicy jalapeno flavors with creamy, mildly tangy Monterey jack cheese. “With the re-launch of our Deli Style line in 2010, we knew it was time to expand the brand offerings with stronger, bolder, spicier product extensions,” says Perry Abbenante, Vice President of Marketing for Pretzel Crisps. “After exploring the many flavor combinations in the bold and spicy category, two concepts tested the strongest. Those consumer favorites were Jalapeno Jack and Chipotle Cheddar.”

Pretzel Crisps’ new Chipotle Cheddar flavor proves that some really do like it hot! A spicy take on the cheese and cracker combination, the match made in heaven pairs the unique smoky flavor of chipotle peppers, robust creamy cheddar cheese and zesty spices with the crunchy perfection of Pretzel Crisps.

In addition to the latest varieties, a new Bold and Spicy packaging design has been created to make the fiery characteristics of the Buffalo Wing, Jalapeno Jack and Chipotle Cheddar flavors stand out. The new look features warmer colors, sizzling flame designs and a Bold & Spicy insignia.

For those seeking a little spice in their life, Pretzel Crisps’ new Jalapeno Jack and Chipotle Cheddar flavors will do exactly that. With only 110 calories per serving, the incredibly thin, flat-baked pretzel crackers are the perfect, better-for-you snack. The new flavors will launch July 31st in the deli aisle of supermarkets and select specialty retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.99 per 7.2 ounce bag.
