BOCA RATON, Fla. — Liberte, Canada's renowned natural and organic yogurt brand, announced its presence in the American online community with its website launch, www.LiberteYogourt.com, and Facebook page, www.facebook.com/LiberteUSA. The websites encourage education and discussion by focusing on new products, recipes, health & nutrition, sustainable development, an informational blog, and upcoming events.
"Liberte has always had a great connection with its consumers," says Simon Brisebois, Brand Manager for Liberte. "A lot of our current flavors or product types were suggested by our fans, so social media communication was a natural next step for us. Our goal is to continue and increase this line of direct communication with existing and potential fans."
Based in Quebec, Liberte first started distributing its products 12 years ago in Vermont, New York, Maine, and Connecticut. Consumer demand for Liberte's high-quality natural products soon increased, and the company's products are now carried at 3,000 stores nationwide, including Whole Foods, Albertson's, Earth Origins, Tunie's, Richard's Foodporium, Chamberlin's & Nutrition S'mart, leading independent natural food stores, and now, Publix.
Liberte, which manufactures specialty dairy products including yogurt, kefir and goat's milk butter, has developed a unique and distinct expertise and enjoys a highly regarded brand image. Brands include the Mediterranee line, an opulent fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt made in the purest Mediterranean tradition and popular with gourmands, Mediterranee 0% Greek Yogurt, a rich and surprisingly fat-free yogurt crafted using traditional Greek methods, Liberte Plain Yogurt 2%, a popular culinary classic, and Goat Fresh Cheese, an excellent source of calcium and protein favored for its easy digestibility.
All Liberte yogurts are made with rBGH-free milk sourced from Vermont's Champlain Valley. Active cultures provide the products a smoother taste and creamier texture. Liberte yogurts contain no artificial sugars, fillers or preservatives. Popular Mediterranee flavors include Coconut, Lemon, Wild Blackberry, and Pineapple, among others.
About Liberte Yogourt
Liberte is best defined as an artisan, "Artisan de Nature." And artisans are at the heart of the corporation's activities, carrying out their professions with passion. Artisans bring their passion right to your table, conveying delight, flavour, richness, and the satisfaction that comes with providing natural products. Liberte has been manufacturing milk products in the Montreal area since 1936. In 1936, Liberte began manufacturing cream and cottage cheeses near downtown Montreal. As the company grew, production maintained a traditional and artisanal character. After relocating to Brossard in 1964, Liberte continued to manufacture cream cheese and began producing yogurt. With the success of this new endeavour, the company then developed an increasing number of products, all the while upholding its standards of quality and purity. In 2008, Liberte acquired a plant in Saint-Hyacinthe to support its expansion. Part of Yoplait France since December 2010, Liberte products have been available in the United States for more than a decade.
