The Georgia Cattlemen's Association, Georgia Beef Board and Georgia's multi-million dollar beef industry will again celebrate June as beef month in the state of Georgia.
In an effort to increase beef awareness and celebrate the success of our industry, the Georgia Cattlemen's Association, beef producers, and retail and foodservice partners throughout the state will hold promotions, cookouts, giveaways and much more during June Beef Month.
Beef is a traditional American food with a taste that American's love and appreciate. Beef is one of our most versatile, and nutritious protein sources, with lean options for a healthy lifestyle.
The production of beef cattle is one of Georgia's largest and most important industries, giving $2.1 billion to Georgia's economy with 16,000 beef producers and 1.11 million cattle. It is important that the people of Georgia recognize the valuable contributions that our cattle industry makes to the health and well-being of our state.
The Georgia Beef Board is the promotional board for beef producers, established to implement the beef checkoff program for the research and promotion of beef.
