Umpqua Dairy Sweeps Northwest Ice Cream & Culture Products Competition

Salem, OR. – Umpqua Dairy recently won top awards and accolades at the annual convention and product judging competition for Northwest dairy processors. This regional competition provides product judging for Fluid Milk/Cream, Ice Cream, Cultured Products and Butter. Dairy processors from Oregon and Washington are eligible to enter product samples for scoring.

Umpqua Dairy won the Sweepstakes Award for the Ice Cream Division, by sweeping the product judging for Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry Ice Creams with First Place trophies.

Umpqua Dairy won the Sweepstakes Award for the Culutured Products Division by winning First Place trophies for product judging in Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream.

Umpqua Dairy also brought home Gold Awards for Product Quality in:

  • Fluid Milk/Cream: 2% Reduced Fat Milk, Whole Milk and Half & Half.
  • Ice Cream: Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry
  • Cultured Products: Buttermilk, Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream
  • Butter: Retail and Score Butter
