Roundy’s & Grocery Shopping Network Look To Enhance Shopper Engagement Strategy

Minneapolis — Grocery Shopping Network (“GSN”) is pleased to announce the launch of newly enhanced consumer websites for Milwaukee based Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. (“Roundy’s”). The launch includes the websites of Roundy’s five store banners: Pick ’n Save, Rainbow Foods, Copps Food Centers, Metro Market and Mariano’s Fresh Market. Representing more than 150 stores, Roundy’s is one of the oldest and largest grocers in the Midwest.

“At Roundy’s, we strive to provide quality food at a great value for our customers,” said Vivian King, Roundy’s Director of Public Affairs. “Our new websites with the addition of online shopping tools will enhance our ability to serve our customers and focus on their needs.”

Strengthening their e-commerce strategy, Roundy’s newly enhanced website provides interactive tools for shoppers, including the ability to search by department or brand; personalized specials tailored to the shoppers preferences and previous shopping history; a recipe center that includes 60,000 recipes and wine parings; online shopping from the weekly ad circular; access to in-store specials and sale items; as well as the ability to create a master shopping list and a record of previous orders. In addition to the rich content supplied by GSN, shoppers will have the ability to view all past purchases using their loyalty card information. This information will also be used to fuel GSN’s personalization engine, which makes recommendations to shoppers on a weekly basis.

“As a top performing regional supermarket chain, Roundy’s has utilized innovative methods to engage their shoppers while providing them with useful information,” said Scott Lutz, CEO of Grocery Shopping Network. “Our digital shopping tools are assisting Roundy’s as they engage their shoppers online by providing accessible cost savings and useful information about potential purchases in real-time.”
