Kleinpeter Farms Dairy will open an Acadiana distribution site, the company said Tuesday.
The 3-acre site at the Lafay-ette Regional Industrial Park will include a small office area and an area for 10 delivery trucks to park and connect to electrical outlets for overnight storage, said Jeff Kleinpeter, president of the Baton Rouge-based dairy.
“We have been renting property, and now that our team has worked so hard and done such a great job expanding our milk and ice cream products to the fine people of Acadiana, it’s time to give my team a place to call home,” Kleinpeter said.
Construction will begin in May and marks Kleinpeter’s steady expansion into other markets in south Louisiana.
