Benson's Inc. has bought the 7 acres adjacent to its own Bogart property, but doesn't yet have firm plans for how to use the land, the company announced last week.
The baking company, which employs 150 to 200 people, produces a variety of cakes for several large grocery chains.
The additional property, formerly Athena Carpet, may be used for warehouse space to free up some freezer capacity, the company said.
