“With a focus on expanding, but also maintaining our mission of sustainability, the added acreage is only part of our new program,” says Organics Unlimited President Mayra Velazquez de Leon. “We are also adding a shade house for propagation of new plants, an important step in increasing production without substituting quality. In keeping with our natural environment, this shade house will be built entirely of coconut palm fronds from our existing organic coconut palms.”

Consumers concerned about both health and environmental factors have caused double digit growth of organic produce in most categories.
