Linde To Feature New Freezing Technology At Worldwide Food Expo

Murray Hill & New Providence, New Jersey, U.S. – Food processors, faced with ever-increasing ingredient costs, are looking for increased value in their processing operations to help increase their competitive edge. Linde North America, the leading innovator in food freezing and chilling equipment technology, will feature its new cryogenic freezers designed to reduce operating costs while increasing productivity at the Worldwide Food Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago from April 13-16 in booth #1333.

Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company, will feature its newest hygienic cryogenic freezer – the CRYOLINE® XF spiral freezer, the first round spiral freezer providing significant economic benefits to food processors.

“The new CRYOLINE XF spiral freezer is a high performance freezer that delivers the increased value and competitive edge that food processors are looking for,” said Mark DiMaggio, head of food and beverage markets for Linde North America. “The freezer operates at twice the heat transfer rate of conventional spiral freezers, thereby requiring less floor space, while increasing production capacity and lowering overall cryogen costs. It’s perfect for freezing raw or cooked protein product and formed nuggets and patties.”

Linde will also feature its new CRYOLINE CW hygienic tunnel freezer, the CRYOLINE PE pellet freezer and the Linde Combo Chiller at this year’s show. Designed to freeze IQF products, such as diced and sliced products, pizza toppings, sausage links and crumble, wings, and any other small items that tend to clump or stick to belts, the CRYOLINE CW freezer uses a proprietary, rolling wave action that gently tumbles layered products to maximize yield by minimizing fines loss and locking in moisture, a distinct competitive advantage over conventional flighted freezers.

The CRYOLINE PE freezer is the only cryogenic freezing technology available that can make molded frozen pellets, discs, cubes, squares or a combination of shapes of sauces, purees, soups, and a variety of other liquid food products. The technology makes it easy for consumers to portion and defrost as much or as little of the product as they need, which eliminates the need for extra packaging and minimizes waste. The CRYOLINE PE freezer is perfectly suited for processors serving the food service, ready-to eat meals, and consumer markets.
