LOS ALAMITOS, CALIF. (March 2011) – March is all about college basketball and the March Madness games, and Frieda’s has launched a special promotion to bring that excitement into produce departments. Frieda’s March Madness promotion is designed to increase retail sales by engaging consumer via social networks during the popular National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball championship games throughout the month of March.
Frieda’s clients who participate in the sales promotion will be entered into a drawing to win a Sony Playstation 3 and the NCAA Basketball 10 game.
For consumers, new and existing fans of the Frieda’s Facebook page will have the opportunity to enter to win one of three Frieda’s Final Four Hoops & Scoops gift boxes including party dips and other goodies to enjoy during the Final Four basketball tournament. This is all leading up to the company’s official 50th anniversary celebration starting April 2, 2011.
Frieda’s is also launching an advertising campaign on Facebook to promote the March Madness consumer giveaway.
