The 2011 APC Crisco National Pie Championships will take place at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL. Amateur pie makers, professional bakers/chefs & commercial pie companies from around the country & Canada have been competing at the NPC since 1995. The APC has created a standard of quality in pie making on all levels. We have a well-established record in the pie-judging field for both amateur bakers, professional and commercial bakers alike. Our commercial members have shown that winning an APC award can substantially increase sales and market share in that category and the competition gets tougher each year.
Friday, April 8, 2011 the National Pie Championships kick off with the Commercial Division of the NPC. Commercial entrants will register their pies starting at 6:00AM. These pies will be judged on Friday and awards will be presented on at the Pie Reception and Awards
On Friday, April 8, 2011 Independent Bakers (bakers under $1,000,000 in pie sales) can enter their pies in a new division of the Commercial Competition. Registration starts at 8AM. These pies are judged on Friday and awards will be presented at the
Although we are still working on Commercial and Independent Baker Entry forms, flavors will include apple, apple crumb, banana cream, berry, blueberry, cherry, chocolate cream, citrus, coconut cream, cookie/candy cream, open cream, custard, key lime, silk cream, peach, pumpkin, raisin, nut, open, open fruit/berry, peanut butter and Best New Product.
On Friday, April 8, 2011 Amateur contestants have the opportunity to bake on site at the APC Crisco National Pie Championships on a new Sears range. These pies and others entered will be judged on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Awards will be presented on Saturday, April 9th at the Great American Pie Festival at 6:45PM. Although we are working on a few new flavors for 2011, flavors in the past have included apple, citrus, fruit/berry, raisin, cream cheese, Splenda, cream, custard, sweet potato, pumpkin, Crisco Classic Cherry, Crisco
On Saturday, April 9, 2011 Professional contestants have the opportunity to bake on site at the APC Crisco National Pie Championships on a new Sears range. These pies and others entered will be judged on Sunday, April 10, 2011. Awards will be presented on Sunday, April 10th at the Great American Pie Festival. High school students who are interested in pie baking will bake on site on a new Sears range on Saturday, April 9, 2011. These pies will be judged on Sunday, April 10th and awards will be presented at the Great American Pie Festival on Sunday, April 10th. Although we are still working on the entry form, flavors in the past have included apple, fruit/berry, cream and "open".
