BANDON – Bussmann's Mobile Ranch Butchering has been carving meats for hunters and meat producers for more than two decades.
Now, brothers Chris and Fred Bussmann plan to give local ranchers a competitive edge by offering USDA-inspected meat-processing services.
"There's a call for it on the Oregon Coast," Chris Bussmann said.
With a $50,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Curry County Economic & Community Development announced its intentions to hire a research firm to establish a plan and marketing model for the Bussmanns to expand their business.
