JUNEAU, Alaska – Icicle Seafoods has donated $42,500 to the University of Alaska Southeast.
Some of the money – $7,500 – will go toward a microscope for the Fisheries Technology program at the Ketchikan campus.
Another $5,000 will be used as support for tuition and fees for Petersburg High School students enrolled in career education or duel enrollment classes at UAS.
The remaining $30,000 will be used for the newly endowed Icicle Seafoods scholarship fund.
