BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announces the closing of Areas II “A” Conditionally Approved Waters to the harvest of oysters, effective 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, due to the Pearl River stage exceeding the management plan criteria.
Area II “A” Conditionally Approved Waters (closing) – This area includes northern portions of the Pass Christian and Henderson Point reefs and Hornets Reef.
This area may reopen for harvest when water sample results meet the management plan criteria for reopening.
