CHECK, Va. — Concerns about bird flu are rising, and it could mean there’s an increase in prices of everyday groceries, like eggs.
But local farmers said they aren’t too worried about the threat of the virus right now.
Emily Smith has been raising chickens with her husband, Daniel, on their family farm in Check for seven years. As a small operation, she said they’re not affected by rising prices in grocery stores.
