Billerica, MA – JOH is excited to announce the promotions of Beth McGuire and Rich Martin to the positions of VP of Produce in the New England and Metro regions respectively, and Bill Nolan to the position of Director of Produce, New England.
Beth, Rich and Bill will take on leadership positions in the Produce division in their regions. In their newly expanded roles, they will help lead business development initiatives and manage the day-to-day activities for the New England and Metro teams.
JOH’s Produce division has seen amazing results since it was founded in 1992. It has expanded and attracted passionate and talented associates, and JOH has become the premier produce broker in the Northeast.
Beth McGuire
Beth began her career at JOH in the Customer Service/Deductions department and also worked as an Admin for Chip O’Hare. Beth started in the New England Produce division in 1999 under Tom Casey and moved into sales in that division in 2001, becoming an Account Executive in 2002.
“Since joining the Produce team years ago, Beth has learned each facet of the business,” said Brian Maguire, EVP, Produce, New England. “Clients, customers and teammates alike love and respect Beth. She is an incredible asset to the JOH family. We know she will continue to make a big impact on the business in this new role. Congratulations!”
Beth serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Produce Council. She enjoys running, boating and traveling.
Rich Martin
For the past 18 years, Rich has been an Account Executive on JOH’s Metro Produce team. He has also called on all customers in the Metro New York market and is the key Account Manager for many of JOH’s valuable clients.
“Rich’s contributions in the New York produce market business have been vital over the past 18 years,” said Jim Oettinger, EVP, Produce, Metro. “Rich will continue to help manage and grow the produce business at all accounts in the Metro region. Congratulations on this well-deserved promotion!”
Rich is an active member of the Eastern Produce Council and serves as a Board member. He lives with his wife, Heiddy, children, Richard and Gabriella, and dog, River. He is an avid sports fan, especially for the NY teams such as the Giants, Yankees and Rangers. He also enjoys coaching his children’s sports.
Bill Nolan
Bill Nolan has been a member of the JOH Produce team for the past 27 years. As an Account Executive calling on Hannaford and Roche Bros, he has developed strong connections with his clients and customers.

Prior to joining JOH, Bill played two years of minor league hockey in Virginia. He currently lives in Melrose with his wife, Jan. Together they have three daughters, Alexandra, Caroline and Lily.
