Brookline Meat House Voted Best Butcher Shop On Cityvoter Boston A-List

Brookline’s neighborhood butcher shop has been selected Best Butcher Shop in this year’s Boston A-List contest. Held annually by Cambridge-based CityVoter, the Boston A-List awards are determined by popular vote on the Boston A-List website. The Meat House was one of 11 butcher shops nominated for the Best Butcher Shop category.

"We are thrilled to have been selected as the Best Butcher Shop in the Boston area" said The Meat House local owner Bonnie Hoagland. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible experience and couldn’t be happier with the way the community has embraced our business since we opened.”

CityVoter kicked off their annual Boston A-List contest in November 2010, featuring over 2,000 local businesses competing for a title of the Boston area’s best. This year, CityVoter collected over 44,700 votes in 231 categories by their December 22nd deadline.

The Meat House opened in Coolidge Corner at 1285 Beacon Street in August 2010. The franchise is locally owned by Bonnie and Paul Hoagland with their Operating Partner, Chris Hogan. The Meat House offers customers a diverse line of expertly butchered meats as well as proprietary marinades, prepared side dishes and several locally sourced goods. The store also features a great selection of wine and specialty beer. The quality of these products, coupled with the stores unique focus on creating events like wine tasting and cooking demonstrations to benefit customers, has led The Meat House to be embraced by the local community.
