HOUSTON, TX – MountainKing, one of the world’s leading growers, packagers and shippers of high-flavor potato varieties, will embark on several digital marketing campaigns in the first quarter of 2024 aimed at cultivating dialogue with consumers and driving engagement through Facebook and Instagram.
Monthly Facebook and Instagram Contests
Throughout the first quarter, MountainKing will invite consumers to share their treasured potato recipes and favorite memories of enjoying potatoes through monthly contests on Facebook and Instagram. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries.
In January, Facebook and Instagram campaigns will encourage users to kickstart the new year by sharing their favorite healthy and unique potato recipes using the hashtags #NewYearNewPotato and #PotatoResolution.
In February, consumers can celebrate their spud-tacular affection for potatoes by writing a short love letter or appreciation note dedicated to their favorite potato dish or variety on Facebook and Instagram. Users will be encouraged to use the hashtags #LoveForPotatoes and #PotatoLoveLetters.
In March, Facebook and Instagram posts from MountainKing will encourage potato lovers to share their culinary creativity by commenting on their favorite cooking hacks and tips using the hashtags #StPatricksPotato and #KitchenMaestroGiveaway.

Chain Store Partner Promotions
Concurrent with its customer contests, MountainKing will roll out Facebook and Instagram ads promoting availability of its Butter Cream, Butter Red and Baby potatoes at chain store partners across several key regions. Campaigns featuring partner chain stores will target consumers in Boston, Chicago, Maryland, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Texas.
QR Code Linked to “How-To” Videos
Also during the first quarter, MountainKing will enhance the consumer experience with bag decals featuring QR codes on packages of its Butter Creams. QR codes will direct consumers to newly-posted “how-to” videos presenting easy-to-follow recipes featuring the popular MountainKing variety.
