CABOT, Vt. – WHAT: Cabot Creamery Cooperative and some of the nation's leading bloggers will host Soup Swap parties in five cities across the country on January 22, 2011. The bloggers will invite guests into their homes, each guest bringing six quarts of frozen homemade soup. Both the blogger hosts and their guests are encouraged to use Cabot products in their recipes, and to submit them to www.facebook.com/cabot (click on the Soup Swap tab), a Facebook microsite created especially for the event. Cabot will be providing cheese for the parties and door prizes for the participants.
While not everyone can attend the five Soup Swap parties, anyone can join in the fun through Cabot's Soup Swap contest* by submitting their favorite original soup recipe to www.facebook.com/cabot on the Soup Swap tab. The contest runs from January 17 to January 28. The Cabot Nutrition Team will select the 10 best recipes featuring Cabot products and submit them to the New England Culinary Institute, who will then select two winning recipes. The winning recipes will be given a permanent home on Cabot's website, cabotcheese.coop.
Foodies can also join the conversation and see and share great soup recipes at twitter.com/cabotcoop
