Moe's Southwest Grill is about to go all healthy on us.
The Atlanta-based burrito chain is getting set to roll out a new menu in two weeks, a top executive told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Coming soon to 420-plus restaurants will be grass-fed and grain-fed beef, pork and chicken, as well as organic and gluten-free products. The chicken will be hormone-free. The steak, sirloin.
It's a "new food mission," said Paul Damico, president of the brand. "A whole new culinary direction."
The menu change has been in the works for 18 months, and Moe's plans to market the menu to moms with kids. But Damico said the company also wants to educate kids on the new hormone-free and grass-fed food. Starting in April, kids' meals will be served on green Frisbees.
