Turkey may have begun the holiday eating season and a New Years ham may be its finale but for Christmas dinner it’s all about the beef. And the cut of choice is Prime Rib.
Prime Rib is an indulgent and impressive cut which during the holidays is more affordable than most other premium beef cuts such as tenderloin when it becomes a featured item at the local meat counter.
Available with or without the rib attached Prime Rib (aka Standing Rib) is easy to prepare. This classic cut of beef is extremely tender, favorable and juicy; making it a perfect pick for the hurried home cook. A personal choice is the bone-in, Prime Rib because an impressive show stopper. However the boneless version is just as flavorable and is easier carve. Better yet, a boneless Prime Rib has the ability to be cut into steaks – better know as the Rib-eye.
