Giant Food cares deeply about animal welfare, including the welfare of egg-laying hens. That’s why we have committed to working with suppliers to reach a 100 percent cage-free shell egg assortment by 2025. We are working toward a 100 percent cage-free shell egg assortment first in private brand selection, which accounts for the majority of our shell egg sales. We will then continually increase overall supply of cage-free eggs with the goal of 100 percent cage-free in all shell eggs offerings by 2025 or sooner based on available supply. We will continue to listen to our customers on this issue, particularly with respect to consumer demand and affordability.
