One of the nation’s largest fresh-cut produce processors has expanded its capabilities to begin producing items needing USDA certification, now offering a complete line of ready to eat, protein-based products manufactured out of their facilities in Houston (Texas Harvest), Las Vegas (Get Fresh), Baltimore (Hearn Kirkwood) and Portland (Pacific Coast Fruit).
To meet the growing demand of retailers, convenience stores, schools, institutions, and other foodservice operators, Your Way*Fresh now offers a complete line of USDA inspected products including sandwiches, wraps, snack items, protein-based salads and other “ready to eat” products, containing proteins and requiring USDA inspection.
“As our customers adapt to a changing consumer, they are challenging us to meet some of the demands for fresh, protein items that can be implemented in their units,” said Your Way*Fresh President Jim Padden. “Our growth in all areas of retail, convenience stores and other food operations in the grab-and-go categories is taking us in this new direction. “It’s another step into the world of value-add, ready to eat, single and multiple serving items.”
