ATLANTA, GA – The Poultry Market Intelligence Forum at the International Poultry Expo will examine current economic conditions in the poultry industry along with the outlook for the U.S. and global markets for 2011. The program is sponsored by U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and the National Poultry & Food Distributors Association. The 2011edition of the world's largest poultry industry event is set for January 26-28, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The Poultry Market Intelligence Forum is scheduled Friday, January 28.
"The Market Intelligence Forum has been one of the most popular programs on the Expo schedule since its inception three years ago," said USPOULTRY president John Starkey. "The markets are critical in our industry, so it's important to stay informed on today's conditions and projections for the future. This program keeps industry leaders up to date on the various factors that impact financial performance," Starkey said.
The program will feature noted industry economists Mike Donohue, Agri Stats; and Dr. Paul Aho, Poultry Perspective; and Jim Sumner, president of the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council. Donohue and Aho will discuss the issues that will affect poultry markets in 2011, and Sumner will update the export situation and what he expects in the poultry trade arena next year.
