The message on the wall in the offices of Atlanta-based EnviroScent Inc. says it all: "Welcome to the Ol-Factory."
Indeed, this is a company where making scents makes cents.
The fragrance-maker is heading into its big season, as the holidays drive demand for one of its main products, ScentSicles.
The packaged aromatic biodegradable paper sticks, which are infused with pure fragrance oil, come in Douglas fir, blue spruce and white pine scents. They can be hung on artificial Christmas trees to bring what company executives say is the closest-to-natural smell of a live tree. They can be purchased seasonally at Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Michaels, Hallmark and other stores.
