CONCORD, N.C. – The 2010 Annual MarCom Awards presented PreGel AMERICA, a specialty dessert ingredient company, with three distinct honors for marketing works created this year. MarCom’s highest honor, the prestigious Platinum award, was given to PreGel in the Creative Magazine/Corporate category for its 2010 summer publication Views from the Tree. The company’s 2010 Tenero brochure was awarded a Gold award in the Creative Design/Brochure category and their corporate video series received an Honorable Mention in the Creative Video/Film/Corporate Image category. With almost 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries, the competition was extremely intense and PreGel was pleased to be named as a standout in its respective categories.
“Being recognized by the MarCom Awards is a remarkable accomplishment and a true testament to the work that our team executes,” said Jillian Hillard, marketing manager for PreGel AMERICA. “We are both excited and humbled by this honor, and it is my hope that our team will continue produce award-winning materials and set the bar high in our industry for many years to come.”
PreGel’s magazine, Views from the Tree, is a custom, bi-monthly publication that provides educational and industry information to its customers and allied professionals to foster business success and advance the industry. Views from the Tree’s editorial, creative direction and design is produced solely by PreGel. The magazine is printed at United Printing in Charlotte, NC.
Awarded a Gold MarCom, PreGel’s 2010 Tenero brochure was created to assist in the launch of the company’s new concept for soft serve frozen desserts. After years of working with different customers and surveying the market, PreGel found a need to evolve the existing soft serve options out there into a new class of frozen desserts that could provide a greater variety, simplicity and profitability to businesses. Encompassing ready-to-use products and recipes for frozen yogurt, gelato, sorbetto and ice cream, Tenero is described as a new, healthy and gourmet solution to the time-treasured classic of soft serve. PreGel AMERICA began pushing this new concept in February of 2010 and it continues to grow and evolve because of its simple, yet epicurean approach.
Approximately 10 percent of the entries including PreGel AMERICA’s corporate video series were honorable mention winners. Unveiled in April of this year, the videos provide an in-depth look at PreGel as a company, from its Italian origins to its newest state-of-the-art training facility. PreGel says viewers of the videos are pleasantly surprised by the splendor of their manufacturing complex located in the small town of Concord, NC. Each video is titled by its topic; Heritage, Culture, Training and Ingredients. PreGel’s videos are available for viewing on the company’s website www.pregelamerica.com.
MarCom Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies. The competition is so well thought of in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad clubs, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.
MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
