UKIAH, CA — Interior plantscape industry leaders were honored at the recently concluded CalScape Expo conference and trade show hosted by the Plantscape Industry Alliance, Aug. 31 – Sept. 3, 2010, in San Diego, CA.
Two long-time green industry veterans were inducted into the Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame at the Hall of Fame and PIA Awards Banquet held during the conference. Dick Ott was inducted as the 2010 Plantscaping Professional and Dr. Bill Wolverton was inducted as the 2010 Allied Trade Professional.
Exceptional volunteers, Bill Meade, Architectural Supplements West, Lancaster CA, and Carol Peterson-Webber, Plant Parenthood, Burlingame, CA, were recognized with the Gold Leaf Award for their dedication and outstanding service to the Plantscape Industry Alliance and CalScape Expo. Meade and Peterson-Webber have been instrumental in organizing and making CalScape happen for the past few years.
Nominations for the 2011 Interior Plantscape Hall of Fame are currently being accepted. All nominations are due by January 14, 2011. CalScape Expo 2011 is scheduled for Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 in Las Vegas, NV.
