Drop-In Bouquets An Emerging Trend For This Holiday Season

EDMONTON — Last year the holidays were all about homespun and handmade, as consumers retreated into nostalgia under the oppressive pall of economic uncertainty.

This year trend watchers are seeing an emerging optimism played out creatively in sophisticated elegance everywhere from holiday entertaining to personal fashion and decorating.

"The holidays this year are all about sparkle, glamour and sophistication," says Canada's premier interior designer and style columnist Karl Lohnes.

The TV personality is among an array of experts appearing this year at Christmas in November, a festival of all things fa-la-la at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. We talked to a number of the presenters about how Christmas will look, feel and taste this year.
