The FDA is advising restaurants and food retailers not to serve or sell and to dispose of oysters and consumers not to eat oysters from Sociedad Acuicola GolPac (MX 06 SP) harvested from Bahia Salina, Sonora, Mexico on 12/18/2023 or 12/27/2023 because they may be contaminated with norovirus.

FDA Announces More Rejections of Antibiotic Contaminated Shrimp from 4-Star BAP Certified Shrimp Exporters; Adds Another to an Import Alert for Unapproved Drugs in Farmed Seafood

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published detailed data regarding 74 seafood entry line refusals in December, of which four (5.4%) were for shrimp for reasons related to banned antibiotics and an additional fifteen seafood entry line refusals in November, of which five (33.3%) were for shrimp for reasons related to banned antibiotics.
