The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a new report detailing the impact of the U.S. sugar program on American consumers, food manufacturers, and sugar producers. The report confirmed that the U.S. sugar program is creating supply shortages for domestic food production and contributing to higher costs for manufacturers, workers, and American families.
