Soulanges Mills and Sogelco International, Winners of the 2022 Alizés Awards

The Group Export Agri-Food Quebec-Canada (Group Export) unveiled yesterday the winners of the fourth edition of the Alizés Awards. Presented by FCC, the Alizés Awards celebrate the success of Canadian agri-food companies that stand out in international markets thanks to the excellence of their export strategies. Soulanges Mills won in two of the three categories, “SME Fonds de solidarité FTQ” and “Export Innovation Inno-centre”, while Sogelco International received the Alizé in the category “Large company FCC”.

Cheney Brothers Breaks Ground on New Warehouse in Port St. Lucie

Food service distributor ‘Cheney Brothers’ broke ground on the first phase of a 367,427-square-foot distribution and food storage warehouse in Port St. Lucie. Its being built on SW Anthony F. Sansone Boulevard in Legacy Park at Tradition. Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2023.

Through a partnership with Advanced Energy Machines (AEM), the Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) are solar-supported electric refrigeration solutions that are capable of supporting our foodservice distribution needs and have the capability of maintaining temperatures down to minus 20 degrees F.
