#FairKitchens, a global movement driving change to secure a healthier and more sustainable foodservice industry, is launching a new leadership training program, free to any hospitality business. Entitled “Leading a Fair Kitchen”, it aims to improve working environments and address staff retention issues by empowering leaders with insight and practical tips from others in the industry. The training is presented by Unilever Food Solutions, one of the co-founders of #FairKitchens, together with The Culinary Institute of America (CIA), which lent its expertise as an industry service.

Blendid Closes Second Oversubscribed Crowdfunding Campaign

Hitting its $2 million target via 1,475 individual investors during a four-month campaign on StartEngine, Blendid has now raised  a total of $20million in investment through a combination of traditional venture capital, strategic investors and crowdfunding. During its crowdfunding effort, Blendid signed a commercial agreement with a major commercial food service operator, which also made a strategic investment in the company, to help scale its manufacturing and operations so Blendid can achieve its mission of making healthy food more personalized and accessible nationwide.
