USDA Releases 2017 Annual Pesticide Data Program Summary, US Food Supply is Among the Safest in the World

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today published the 2017 Pesticide Data Program (PDP) Annual Summary. The Summary shows more than 99 percent of the samples tested had pesticide residues well below benchmark levels established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Mannarich Food Recalls Siluriformes Products Produced without Benefit of Import Inspection

The Siluriformes products were imported to the U.S. on various dates from June 26, 2017 through November 13, 2018. The products have a shelf life of two years and all lots produced are included in the recall.

Response to the recommendations from the National Working Group for Vibrio parahaemolyticus Control in BC Oysters for Raw Consumption

Following an outbreak of illnesses caused by Vibrio in British Columbia oysters in 2015, a working group of regulators and industry members discussed perceived gaps in the current controls for Vibrio. The regulators were at the provincial and federal level, and included the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
