In the highest scoring bowl game of the season and the third highest scoring game in bowl history, the University of Idaho Vandals defeated the Colorado State Rams (61-50) at the 20th Annual Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl. Close to 25,000 die-hard fans braved the cold weather to cheer on the teams, while 1.1 million viewers (an increase of 6% over 2015) watched the game indoors on ESPN.

As the organic category continues to grow, so does demand for organic citrus – including seasonal easy-peel varieties. According to IRI Worldwide Data, sales of organic easy-peel citrus varieties last year were up over 70 percent in dollars and 60 percent in volume.

New England Produce Council Makes Donation, Volunteers At Greater Boston Food Bank

New England Produce Council, Inc. (NEPC) and Dole donate $5000.00 to the Greater Boston Food Bank.  NEPC hosted a dinner meeting at the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) on Wed. Jan. 11th with Dole as the sponsor. Members of the New England Produce Council, Inc. also came together to volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank on Wed. Jan. 11th.  The group met prior to the Dole dinner meeting to help sort and label close to 7000 pounds of product.
