AMS Streamlining Import Process For Certain Fruits, Vegetables & Specialty Crops

The Agricultural Marketing Service’s (AMS) participation in the government-wide International Trade Data System (ITDS) is expanding from a three-port pilot program to a nationwide pilot, which is accepting filings at all U.S. ports of entry. All agricultural commodity importers are now able to submit required documentation electronically into the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

New Owner, New Location For Glidden Point Oyster Sea Farm

The Damariscotta River and the community along its banks create the perfect recipe for a quality oyster, said Ryan McPherson, the new owner of Glidden Point Oyster Sea Farm in Edgecomb. The recipe will remain the same, even as the ownership and location of the oyster farm changes, he said.
